The village of Pramet is located around 7½ kilometres south of Ried im Innkreis, at the northern foot of the middle Hausruck towards the Innviertler Hügelland. It lies on the upper reaches of the Oberach, a tributary of the Antiesen at around 510 metres above sea level. The village comprises around 130 buildings with over 400 inhabitants.
