The Schmankerlwirt in Vorderweißenbach is a long-established family business that is known far and wide for its excellent cuisine. The innkeepers Inge and Arnold run the business with a lot of dedication and heart. In recent years, they have renovated the beautiful rose garden which invites you to linger on sunny days. The most recent gems are their own chapel made from Mühlviertel granite, which is particularly popular for weddings and the artist's garden, with busts of the Aigner family of artists.
The friendly landlord couple provided us with the recipe for a very traditional Mühlviertel dish: The cream soup is quick and easy to prepare and tastes simply delicious.
