The Lauriacum Museum was completely remodelled and renovated in 2018 as part of the national exhibition. In one of the most modern Roman museums in Austria, visitors can expect an exciting and eventful journey of discovery into the world of the legionaries, their history and their everyday lives.
The experience-orientated exhibition also focuses on the life of the civilian city, the Romans' money and their burial system. With precious original finds, elaborate reconstructions and multimedia stations, it shows that the legionaries were far more than just fighters.
