Without any time pressure, we cross the breathtaking European protected area around Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting on the edge of the Almtal. Alluvial forests, the Wimbach and the Flachmoor invite you to an exciting journey of discovery. The therapeutic effect of this moor has been known since 1364!

Our nature mediators lead to the hidden treasures of flora and fauna at all times of the year and on different topics.

Bog forest and forest are of great importance for humans and the animal world, but also for our climate.

We learn about the formation of the moor and why this habitat is so worth protecting.
We get to know typical plants of the moor area and find out that dead wood is important for life in the moor forest and forest.

We start directly behind the OptimaMed health resort Bad Wimsbach. To the left of us is the moor area, on the opposite side the forest.

Right at the beginning we experience the fascination of this special flora, a wildness in nature that we rarely encounter today. Tinder fungus and tramete grow on dead trees and find ideal conditions here. The black alder only manages to live in wet soil because of an intimate relationship with certain bacteria.

A "nature slide show" helps us to perceive details better. We consciously use our senses, hear the noises of the moor forest (the bird world finds ideal conditions here), carefully feel the structure of the horsetail and experience the softness of the forest floor in the adjacent forest. Let's take a look behind the scenes together and be amazed!
