Alpine life past and present, culinary delights and hearty music: the Alpine Festival on 24 June 2023 on the Wurzeralm in Spital am Pyhrn offers all this and much more.
Go on a journey through time "2 million years in 2 hours" and hike through the unique Alpine landscape of the WurzerNaturErlebnisWelt with stations on topics such as nature, landscape development, Alpine farming, geology, climate change and the Alps.
Afterwards, immerse yourself in games, fun and action. The Almfest programme ranges from archery to skill stations. Or enjoy the musical and culinary Alpine delicacies of the regional gastronomy, the farmers and listen to the musical performances of local music groups. The stalls offer many products and gifts from the region.
On Saturday 28 June at 22:00, the mountain rescuers will light up the surrounding mountain peaks. The funicular railway will take you back down to the valley by midnight.
