Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad

Welcome to the "Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad" in Windhaag, one of the seven member businesses of the "Kernlandwirte" co-operative!

Our "Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad" is located around one kilometre outside the town of Windhaag near Freistadt in the village of Pieberschlag. Following the good old tradition of country inns, it has been run as a family business for generations. A parlour and the new conservatory offer space for 80 guests, and on nice summer days our newly designed large terrace invites you to linger. Our menu consists mainly of down-to-earth dishes, all of which are personally prepared by the chef of the house. Five times a year we invite our guests to speciality weeks: be it salads, homemade dumpling variations, fish, poultry or game specialities: We always have something new to try.
We particularly recommend the watershed sculpture trail, which leads directly past our inn.
