A visit to our toque and starred restaurant will spoil you with culinary delights. As a spoilt gourmet, you can be sure that we will surprise you again and again. We at the Kirchenwirt are a restaurant just as you would wish for as a guest: chic and rustic furnishings, with a traditional flair but modern and casual. And that's exactly how the atmosphere is: casual, relaxed - but professional. That's the really charming thing about it: we serve absolutely top-class cuisine, but do so with an unagitated matter-of-factness.
Our restaurant was awarded a toque by Gault Millau in autumn 2020. Our head chef Daniel Hutsteiner thus joins the glittering ranks of Austria's top chefs. He has long deserved this honour, as his style of cooking fulfils everything that can be expected of modern cuisine: seasonal and regionally rooted, but extremely creative and with the highest level of craftsmanship. His speciality is playing with flavours and textures; he often interprets the essential components of a dish in different ways, opening up not only the taste buds but also the culinary horizons of his guests.
If you would like to experience our cuisine for yourself, you should try to book in advance. On Thursdays we also serve a three-course tasting menu in addition to the normal à la carte menu.
