Landhotel Forsthof

The Forsthof has been a family-run inn for generations, offering rural cosiness in a central, quiet location.

The centuries-old farm with its spacious rooms, vaulted parlour and inner courtyard garden conveys a pleasant atmosphere and cultivated hospitality. The Forsthof offers everything from dignified family holidays with active leisure and sports facilities to perfectly organised conferences, culinary events and wine festivals.

Our culinary specialities are the asparagus season (Puppinger asparagus), Schwarmmerl season, game weeks, pumpkin season, our sheep's cheese and Schlierbach cheese.

Our products come from the immediate surroundings. Our suppliers are:
Organic sheep's cheese from Waldneukirchen
Schlierbach cheese from the Genussregion partners
Poultry and game from local farmers and hunters
Vegetables from Eferding (Puppinger asparagus)
Eggs from farm production
Fish from local breeders


We offer space for groups of up to 50 people in a separate room with our own small à la carte menu, 3-course menus and specialities from the region.

The Schlierbach Abbey, Kremsmünster Abbey, St Florian's Abbey and the town of Steyr are ideal excursion destinations.
