Branch church of the parish of Pichl bei Wels, where regular services are held in the summer months.
The parish of Pichl also includes the branch church of St Valentin in Sulzbach. St Valentine's Church was mentioned as early as 1245. At that time, baptisteries were built in places with special springs. The water from this spring contains iodine and radium. The spring was originally located outside the church. In the 15th century, the nave was added to the Gothic presbytery and the spring was incorporated into the church interior. St Valentin's was a popular pilgrimage church. Up to 40 pilgrimages came to St Valentin's every year. Many people visited the simple church to ask for healing from eye diseases, gout or epilepsy.
