First mentioned in 1371, the Furthmühle today presents itself as a stately ensemble with a mill, sawmill and outbuildings. It boasts technical equipment from the period between 1898 and 1950. The various forms of energy utilisation are remarkable. The exhibits range from a four-metre water wheel to a 210 hp steam engine, diesel and electric motors and a Francis turbine. The mill and sawmill equipment is largely preserved in working order.
