Heilbründl-Kapelle

Hochburg-Ach, Oberösterreich, Österreich

About two kilometres south of Maria Ach, in the middle of the forest, is the "Heilbründl", one of two Brünnl chapels in Hochburg-Ach. A tapped spring rises directly below the chapel. Inside the chapel is a statue of the Virgin Mary from 1963.

According to legend, the robber baron Meier Helmbrecht came here to relieve his pain after being "blinded" (meaning that his eyes were burnt out).
