Discover diversity at the organic farm
The Wipplinger family's idyllic organic farm is located near Ried. The farm is home to many animals, with the main focus of animal husbandry being on forest sheep. The almost extinct forest sheep is an old native breed of sheep. Forest sheep are an endangered breed of domestic animal, and the Wipplinger family breeds these valuable animals. In addition, 3 donkeys, old Styrian chickens, geese and runner ducks ensure a colourful hustle and bustle on the organic farm. A 200 metre long fruit hedge provides for bees and other beneficial insects and always offers fruit for visitors to snack on. A variety of herbs grow in the meadows around the house, which are made into drinks and spreads.
