Peuerbach astro and nature trail Ledererwiese. A walk through the universe.

A pleasant walk along the Ledererbach stream in Bruck-Waasen. Display boards explain our solar system with the planets at relatively correct distances, the life and work of the famous astronomer Georg von Peuerbach and the astrological and astronomical significance of the signs of the zodiac. A self-cranking planetarium shows the speeds of the planets. You can explore the constellations of the night sky on an illuminated star disc.

There are numerous benches along the way, and children can play on the renaturalised Ledererbach riverbank and the playground equipment. A short detour leads to the two Peasants' War memorials: the battle on the Ledererwiese, which brought the first victory for the rebellious peasants, took place here in 1626.
