The Mühlviertel Forest House and the Interpretive Forest Trail reflect our dependence on nature by explaining the integrated life cycle of wood.
The Museum focuses on explaining the various forms of forests. Among the Museum´s most noticeable features are an 80 years old bog spruce, a slice of a 450 years old primeval forest spruce tree, and a 9 million years old piece of petrified wood. With the help of dioramas, visitors will learn about the varied forms a forest may have, from deciduous woodland to Alpine forest. The abundant collections are rounded out by a forest store, a tiny arboretum, and a bucolic farm and herbal garden.May to October:
