The late baroque Maria Bründl pilgrimage chapel is surrounded by romantic forests and nestled in beautiful nature, approx. 3 km outside St. Oswald bei Freistadt.
The chapel was beautifully restored in 1998 In 2001 Maria Bründl was chosen as a "place of strength". Inside the chapel there is a healing spring with a radon content of 5.6 NCI per litre
In 2003, the Maria Bründl healing water chapel was built with a water intake point, making the chapel a peaceful place of prayer once again. Convinced of the good quality of the water, many guests make a daily pilgrimage to the chapel to recharge their batteries.
As early as the 17th century, people knew about the special power of the water from the spring at Maria Bründl. For more than 300 years, the late baroque Marian shrine in the Mühlviertel has been visited to find healing that goes far beyond the natural power of a healing spring.
For 250 years, the water from the Bründl spring was used for cures in the neighbouring Maria Bründl spa.
