Eggelsberg parish church is one of the most beautiful places of worship in the Innviertel region. Thanks to its dominant position, the striking silhouette of the Sill and the 72 metre high tower, the church can be seen from afar.
The parish church, which dates from around 1420 to 1436, faces east and is surrounded by the old cemetery. The two-nave Gothic building is bordered by a massive wall covered with stone slabs. The church is attributed to the "Bürkel type", characterised by a central pillar in the nave. All the stylistic features point to the Burghausen master builder Oswald Bürkel and his cousin Konrad.
