Living and working spaces of the artists Margret Bilger (1904 - 1971) and Hans Joachim Breustedt (1901 - 1984) A visit to the house offers a special experience. Built in 1864, the wooden house with a brick extension from the turn of the century was the place where the artist couple Margret Bilger and Hans Joachim Breustedt lived and worked. It was renovated by the Bilger House Association, which was founded in 1998, and left in its original condition.
The creative atmosphere of the artists' living and working spaces can be experienced on a personal tour. Annually changing exhibitions and the publication of accompanying texts allow for a stimulating art education.
Courses for children, young people and adults led by experts awaken creativity and joy in art. Readings with music and excursions to the churches with stained glass windows by Margret Bilger complete the programme organised by the Bilger House Association.
