The Unterkagererhof farm nestles in a south-facing hillside location 5km south-east of Haslach in the upper Mühlviertel region.
The Unterkagererhof is a listed building bearing the architectural features of a typical Mühlviertel farm. Architectural highlights: front house (natural rock, clay seam), smokery, living room featuring a beautiful, timbered ceiling dating 1678.In 1990 one part of the barn was converted into a youth hostel (run by the Österreichische Naturschutzjugend Association), thus providing a harmonious link between the past, the present and the future.
