The Red Cross - Ortsstelle Windischgarsten - for your safety and health - CALL 144
The Windischgarsten branch of the Red Cross has about 60 volunteers and is supported by two professionals and three civilian servants. The two ambulances are used about 2,600 times a year and cover about 160,000 kilometres. Special mention should be made of the very active youth groups of the local branch, which are always positively involved in everyday Red Cross life. The new building of the Windischgarsten branch was opened in autumn 2003.
The Windischgarsten office is staffed around the clock all year round! Coordination takes place via the Steyr-Kirchdorf Rescue Control Centre in Steyr.
