How to get to the Salzkammergut Tierweltmuseum in the Traunsee-Almtal region:

We recommend travelling by public transport!

By train:
Via Attnang-Puchheim railway station to Pinsdorf railway station. Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn (line 170) in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee. Continue with the OÖVV bus 517 or walk approx. 20 minutes to the museum.

by bus: OÖVV bus line 531 to Pinsdorf railway station, change to OÖVV bus 517 to the stop Pinsdorf Kufhausstraße

by bike: The Salzkammergut Tierweltmuseum is also very easy to reach by bike. From Pinsdorf train station, turn off the R 2 Salzkammergutradweg i in the direction of Reindlmühl and follow the road for approx. 2.8 kilometres. Coming from Neukirchen or Reindlmühl, follow the Aurachtalstraße (partly separated cycle path) to the museum.

By car: Motorway A1: Coming from Vienna/Linz or Munich/Salzburg to the A1 Regau exit - take the B145 towards Gmunden, after Wiesen turn left off the B 145 at the junction, then right, then at the roundabout also towards Pinsdorf or Reindlmühl, then immediately at Pinsdorf railway station turn right towards Reindlmühl and follow the road for approx. 2.8 kilometres.

Coming from Gmunden or Bad Ischl on the B145, leave the B145 at the Fraunsdorf exit and take the first exit at the roundabout in the direction of Pinsdorf or Reindlmühl, then turn right immediately at Pinsdorf railway station in the direction of Reindlmühl and follow the road for approx. 2.8 kilometres

Parking facilities: Numerous car parks in the immediate vicinity of the museum. Please only use the designated car parks and show consideration for private property! Thank you for your fairness!
