Wood Fashion is 100% fashion, but only 10% resource consumption - with 100% fashionable versatility. Our mission is fair designer fashion with ethical and ecological standards - and honest content.

We want to make the world a better place

Yes, we see ourselves a bit as do-gooders, we're happy to admit that. Because the idea and the realisation of our pure, natural, Austrian fashion come from us. At home between the Mühlviertel hills, on the edge of the Bohemian Forest, we love and appreciate our nature. So it makes sense to want to create something that is 100% sustainable: modern fashion with a small, ecological footprint.

Behind Wood Fashion is Dietmar Hehenberger, a hotelier and building contractor who was always bothered by something: fashion was either beautiful or environmentally friendly - but never both. He thought things should be different. It couldn't go on like this, he thought. So he had the idea of combining sustainability and economic efficiency with a good pinch of idealism and creating something completely new.

He sought out experts in various fields: the fashion designer Emanuel Burger, the fibre manufacturer Lenzing AG, the fabric producer Feinjersey and the fashion producer Löffler. When he brought them all together, the time had come: after a few failures and 8 fabric developments and more than a year of hard work, Wood Fashion was born.

Together with a small team, he works in the upper Mühlviertel in Upper Austria to make the idea a reality: 100% honest, environmentally friendly clothing for the modern lifestyle.
