About me

A Vienna refugee became a Mühlviertel native...

After my studies at the art academy in Linz, me and my partner moved to the small town of Rechberg, which is idyllically nestled in green hills and forests in the east of the Lower Mühlviertel.

Utility and vessel ceramics...

... are my daily bread. We opened our studio in the former cowshed of a farm. There I create vessels for plants, vases, lamps, garden globes, sundials and tiles for brick ovens using a technique that bears my unmistakable signature. I draw most of my inspiration from the marvellous natural world. Leaves, grasses, flower shapes, the silhouettes of willow branches by the stream... I use them in a reduced, stylised form in my designs.

Children's art projects ...

... are the pick-me-ups in my life as a ceramicist. My love of children's spontaneous expressiveness has taken me to many schools. In a short space of time, touching testimonies to children's imagination are created, which I then often assemble into a whole in the form of a wall design.

Art in construction ...

... gives me the opportunity to realise my ideas on a larger scale. It's usually large-format terracotta tiles that give the viewer a new impression of the room thanks to their shape and colourfulness.

My material can also be used outdoors as it is completely weatherproof.

Nature park tours ...

... I always enjoy them! As an employee of the Mühlviertel Nature Park Association, I have been involved in nature experience and education programmes for years.
