The small village of Eschenau im Hausruckkreis is located in the scenic Hausruck-Nord region.
Eschenau shares the parish, schools and several associations with neighboring Neukirchen am Walde. The borough of Eschenau comprises 27 small settlements with a total population of about 1150 inhabitants. Agriculture plays an important role in area’s economy both in the provision of food and employment. Farming also plays an important role in the quality of the region’s environment, with farmers acting as guardians of the countryside. The town itself has only few jobs and most people commute to Peuerbach, Grieskirchen, Wels or Linz.
