Hofkirchen im Traunkreis - a peaceful holiday resort in the Upper Austrian Traunviertel region.

The name of the town has derived from a church (church = Kirche) that - according to historical documents - was situated near a feudal estate in the 13th century. Later on, a new church was built in the very town center. Renovated in 1976, the church is still a gem of plain, late Gothic architecture.

Hofkirchen has a lot to offer to the discriminating traveler.
