Rettenkogel über Moosgassneralm

Challenging mountain tour to the Rettenkogel, with marvellous views of Lake Wolfgangsee.

The start begins in Weißenbach at the Unteraubrücke bridge, first along the road towards Laimeralm, then right onto the Theresienstein, continue via Schärfer Schwand, cross the road, then continue along the path. Cross the Moosgassneralm forest road several times until you reach the Fahrenbergstraße, cross it and hike to the Rotwand Sattel. Descend to the right to the junction with path 891/892, follow the path to the Bärenköpfl, continue along the ridge to the long iron ladder, climb this and reach the summit of the Rettenkogel at 1,780 metres above sea level
