First you hike uphill into the village of Haid. Turn right at the brick wayside shrine, on the left you will see a Sacherl in steinbloß, a few steps further on another one. Then the tarmac road turns into a natural path that takes you leisurely through woods and meadows, past the Nedingerhof farm, also in stone, to Wienau, where you can admire the Hoisnkapelle chapel and the Hoisnhof farm (see "Sights"). The way back leads via the village of Eipoldschlag, where you can discover small granite monuments along the way.
Special feature - Hoisnhaus and Hoisnkapelle - this unique granite stone chapel is located near the Hoisnhaus. The village chapel, which was built using the stone-block construction method, consists exclusively of granite stones worked by farmers. Even the roof construction is made entirely of granite stone. Valuable folkloristic and highly symbolic motifs were carved into the pillars and door walls. A detailed description can be found in the Weitersfelden church guide.
