Cycle route on quiet side roads without any significant gradients, also manageable for the untrained.
Don't worry - it won't be an atonement for sin, although a little contemplation can never hurt stress-ridden contemporaries!
So for now, we cycle to St. Blasien and head south along quiet goods roads, with the entire Alpine panorama in front of us. A stretch of country road requires us to pay more attention to the traffic, the short ascent demands firmer pedalling - and then the pilgrimage town of Adlwang is right in front of us. The centre is the late Gothic St. Mary's Church with its precious miraculous image, and just behind it in the Sulzbach valley is the so-called "Augenbründl". The golden Saturday nights in October are characterised by noisy fairground hustle and bustle and yet pilgrims are always looking for the quiet nuances, finding solace or refreshment here. Let everyone reflect in their own way before tackling the return journey with gentle ups and downs in line with the waves of life.
We cycle through typical farmland to Pfarrkirchen, where we can visit the unique rococo church of St George and should know that Bad Hall was only an "appendage" of the local parish until 1785. Incidentally, the Tassilo spring is also located in Pfarrkirchen - the young town likes to borrow from the village.
