Up the Pfarrergraben to Vorwald (to the herb garden), on to the Abraham Chapel and the Tischberger Höhe (European watershed, 781m) with the mountain herb trail.
Continue to the Kalvarienberg church (view to Schenkenfelden) and to the Hirtstein (highest point in the municipality of Hirschbach, 844m). Past the "Einsiedlerhöhle" cave on the Thierberg - there is a legend that a hermit lived in this rock cave - and to the herb drying hall in Oberdorf, continuing along the mountain herb trail.
A detour to the mountain herb processing plant with direct sales in Thierberg is recommended.
Then left to Gasthaus Dunzinger - view of the airfield - right to Gutenbrunn, left at Wirtshaus Pammer, as Hi 3, after approx. 300m right back to Hirschbach-Ort.

Arrival by car:
From Linz via the A7 (Mühlkreis motorway) towards Prague/Freistadt as far as Unterweitersdorf, then turn left after the end of the motorway (towards Prague/Freistadt) and continue on the B125 to Freistadt. In Freistadt turn left towards Bad Leonfelden (B38). After approx. 1 km, turn left again towards Hirschbach.
Travelling by train:
Take the train from Linz main station, change there to the Linz-Summerau line, get off at Trölsberg (train station near Freistadt).
