A circular trail that leads along forest paths and sections of road and offers great views and insights into the Almauen nature reserve.
The route starts at the market square via the Kirchenberg to the parish church of St Stephanus in Bad Wimsbach. From there you walk on to the castle in the castle park, along Hochfeldstraße to Gasthof Dickinger (cosy place to stop for refreshments - restaurant and hotel), left down a short steep path to Frühstückspension Schwarzlmüller, vulgo "Mairhof" until you come to a forest path. Follow this until you reach the Hubertus Chapel. From there, the path leads to the building yard of the market town, from where it goes left to the water protection area (well system - state water company), following the markings to the Penninger footbridge and left to the Almbrücke bridge. A detour to the right to the Landschaftspark-Agrarium and Almegg Castle would be possible. Otherwise, the route leads from the Almbrücke bridge along the Wimbach stream to the market square. Please get in touch for more information.
