The Grünberg is the local mountain of Gmunden on the lake Traunsee. The route starts at the eastern edge of the town. The ascent is to the Grünbergalm inn at an altitude of about 900 metres. Then it's on to Radmoos and finally back to Gmunden.

By train: via the train station Attnang-Puchheim to Gmunden station, with the Traunsee Tram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the stop Gmunden Engelhof, also coming from Vorchdorf Eggenberg. The stop is close by.
Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee
by bike: The Grünbergrunde MTB route is also very easy to reach by bike from the surrounding area. From the Almtal via the Traunvierteltour as well as from Laakirchen via the R4 Traunradweg and from Lake Traunsee via the R 2 Salzkammergutradweg.
