Between the valleys of the Vöckla, Ager and Traun rivers, the Roman cycle path winds its way through the landscape of the Alpine foothills.
We start in Vöcklamarkt, past the narrow-gauge railway and continue through the Dürren Ager valley via Haunolding to Timelkam. From there it is only 7 kilometres to the district town of Vöcklabruck. We leave Vöcklabruck and continue along the railway tracks to reach Attnang-Puchheim. We continue along the Roman cycle path to Schwanenstadt, where we follow the River Ager and reach Lambach after approx. 7 kilometres. The Lambach Benedictine Abbey with its library and frescoes is well worth a break. A detour to Bad Wimsbach to the Tempus Museum of Archaeology and the Villa Rustica provides further interesting facts about the Romans. Continuing along the banks of the Ager past the hydroelectric power station, the R6 takes us to Wels.
