The routing of the tour variant via Vorchdorf and Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting from the R11 "Almtal bicycle path"  (Almtalradweg) starts from Wels via the R4 "Traun" bicycle path (Traunradweg) / R6 "roman bicycle path" (Römerradweg) to the Lambach power plant, crossing the river to Stadl-Paura, left in direction Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, Vorchdorf, to Einsiedling, then to the R13 "Traunviertel" bicycle path to Pettenbach, thera back on the R11 "Almtal" bicycle path in the direction to Scharnstein, Grünau im Almtal and to the end point at the lake Almsee.

It is worth taking a break or two along the Almtal cycle path. Whether to take a rest in a cozy inn or to visit an interesting museum, you have a wide choice. For example the "Tempus archeology museum" or the "Hackenschmiede open-air museum" in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, the "motorcycle museum" or the "Eggenberg brewery" in Vorchdorf, the font and printing museum in the "Bartlhaus" in Pettenbach, right next to the Pettenbach train station. (from here or up to here you can also take the Almtalbahn railway). The "Geyerhammer" scythe museum in Scharnstein is also worth a detour.

Through the district of Viechtwang, it goes on the Almeggstraße in the direction of Grünau im Almtal, past the Grünau im Almtal train station, where you then come to the state road to the lake Almsee. Along this route you will also pass by the Cumberland Wildlife Park Grünau. After the Hotel Jagersimmerl, you have to challenge the last incline before you reach the beautiful lake Almsee.

Sections with more motorized traffic are marked with signs: Grünau to Almsee

Signage:
Unfortunately there are currently no signs from the Lambach power plant via Bad Wimsbach to Vorchdorf Einsiedling (is being implemented)
The cycle paths R4 / R6 and R13 and R11 are well signposted as part of the Upper Austrian state cycle path network!
