Description:
In the area of the new path in the Rathberg area there are impairments due to woodwork and well drilling!!!

At the last bend in the road to Haus Rathberg, where you turn left into the Zugweg, woodwork is currently taking place again and again and therefore the sign where you turn right after approx. 50 metres to walk uphill next to the edge of the forest to the next Zugweg is not set up.

Due to excavation work for wells and spring tappings, this path has been dug up in some parts and the ground is correspondingly deep and difficult to walk on. This situation should improve by spring.

We ask for your understanding!

hike through forests

Start at the church square in Viechtwang until the trail splits below Landsberg like trail no. 6 (Bäckerberg circular trail), near the hunting lodge in Landsberg turn left towards Hacklberg - Schöberlbauer - stay on the ridge until the hiking trail (Zugweg) leads into the forest, continue to the junction where the hiking trail A ‘Hacklberg Höhenweg von St. Konrad’ branches off, turn left down the slope on the Zugweg (shortly afterwards the hiking trail ‘A’ branches off to the right until you reach the forest. Konrad branches off, left down the slope on the Zugweg (shortly afterwards the hiking trail ‘A branches off to the right) straight ahead until you come out of the forest, immediately turn sharp right along the edge of the forest downhill to the timber yard, then left to the Rathberg goods road, there turn right following the goods road for a short distance, then left in the direction of Birihub - Bachwiese - Reithalle - Kirchenplatz Viechtwasser - Kirchenplatz Viechtwasser.
riding hall - church square Viechtwang. Alternatives: from the Schöberlbauer snack station down the valley on the Hacklberg goods road or branch off at bend 2 and follow the path to Schreiberg - Beim Bach and back to the starting point.

Attention: New route in the Rathberg area!

From the last bend to Haus Rathberg, the hiking trail no longer runs on the road through the farm, but on the existing "Traunreiter" bridle path uphill to the Höhenweg in the direction of "Schöberlbauer" or in the direction of St. Konrad.
At the bend in the road turn left into the Zugweg and after approx. 50 metres turn right, uphill, along the edge of the forest to the Zugweg, then turn left uphill.

Coming from Schöberlbauer on the Höhenweg, turn left later in the direction of the valley to avoid having to go through the two farms.

This change is already marked online, but not yet on the existing map. The signposting will be redone in the next few weeks.

We ask you to take this change into consideration and to follow the new route! Thank you for your understanding and fair play!
