Please pay general attention to your surroundings on your journey of discovery and avoid danger zones, such as building sites and the like. Also take care not to enter private property!

Useful tips before you start:

Free WLAN is available at Rathausplatz, along the Esplanade and at Seeschloss Ort.
Battery pack: Due to the length of the tour, we recommend bringing your own battery pack!

The Pokéwalk Gmunden starts at Rathausplatz, in the centre of the Traunsee town. Two Pokéstops are already waiting for you here. Right next to it at the Schillerlinde, you have the opportunity to conquer the first arena (Stahlpark Riedersbach). The route continues along the lake at the esplanade. A total of nine Pokéstops await you until you reach the yacht club. The stops "Children's slide" or "Crown of the PET Dynasty" are often equipped with a lure module. Tip: Enjoy the cosy street furniture by the lake and catch Pokémon along the way.
After the yacht club, you should continue towards Seeschloss Ort. But be careful, on the left-hand side you can try to conquer the "Fountain in the City Park" arena first. We recommend taking a detour via the large Toskana car park on the way to Schloss Ort. A wild rhinoceros has even been spotted here!
The entrance to the Toskana peninsula is then on the left. You can expect a great park, a beautiful view of the surrounding area, the Grünberg and the Traunstein and of course Pokéstops, of which there are three in total.
Cross the long bridge to reach the centre of Seeschloss Ort. There is a Pokémon Arena right in the centre, which you will certainly want to conquer. The castle itself is one of the oldest buildings in the Salzkammergut and was first mentioned in a document in 909.

We now recommend that you make your way back to the centre of Gmunden. It is best to walk along the esplanade again. The numerous Pokéstops will be active again and you can collect equipment.

At the Pokéstop in Franz Josef Park (Dwaf with the mountain crystal), please turn left and walk to the town theatre, which is a short distance to the right. There, please go up the moat to the Pokéstop Bildstock. Turn right into the historic centre of Gmunden. Cross the Rinnholzplatz square with its Salzträgerbrunnen fountain and the Pokéstop on this square. Head through Schwanthalergasse towards the church. There are a total of two stops there. The interior of the parish church with its Epiphany altar from 1678 is also worth a visit. Then head towards Traunsee and the market square.

This is a popular meeting place for Pokémon trainers. There are also two Pokéstops here. Via Kirchengasse, you will then return to the starting point at Gmunden's Rathausplatz.

If you still haven't had enough and feel like catching even more Pokémon, you can take a detour to the east side of the town. You can easily reach it via the Traunbrücke bridge. Immediately afterwards, you can turn right onto the Schiffslände. Here and at the Weyer bathing area that follows, you will find plenty of Pokéstops and even two arenas. One at Klosterplatz and one at the beach volleyball court at the Weyer bathing area.

Have fun exploring Gmunden! And don't forget: Keep your eyes open and always pay attention to your surroundings!
