Description:

From Schlierbach town square, past the station and on to the Kastenmühle, the path leads over a picturesque footbridge directly into the Schlierbach floodplain landscape and back through the "Weinberger" to the starting point.

Directions:
From Schlierbach town square, you walk downhill directly to the station and then on to the Kastenmühle. From there, the path takes you over a picturesque footbridge straight into the Schlierbach floodplain landscape. Along the way, you can observe numerous rare plants and animals, some of which are endangered. After crossing a small woodland, the path leads back into the atmospheric floodplain area. Across the flat landscape, you then reach Kremsuferstraße. A footbridge takes you to the other side of the Krems, you cross Schlierbach Landesstraße, then take the slightly ascending path through the "Weinberge" to the Zeisl snack station. From there, you return to your starting point.Tip:
Climate-friendly to the National Park region - Schlierbach station: By train, you reach the starting point for this hike in about 1 hour from Linz and about 2.5 hours from Vienna.

From Linz: A9 Pyhrn motorway - exit Inzersdorf


From Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn > exit Klaus > federal road B 138


Public Transit
Arrival with the Pyhrnbahn, there are stops in Schlierbach, Kirchdorf/Krems and Micheldorf.
