Stage 8 from Burghausen to Mattighofen

This stage is another tough one. Unfortunately, you also have to hike for an hour on a fairly straight tarmac road. You pass through the southern Innviertel, a friendly farming region. In the distance you can see the mountains more and more clearly. A short diversions leads to the interesting Hart pilgrimage church near Pischelsdorf. As accommodation is rare in Mattighofen, it is advisable to call ahead and, if there is nothing available, to consider one of the places before or after.
