The route leads to scenic heights and through five river valleys. Entry with parking options in Walding at the sports park or in St. Gotthard at the music hall. The E1 variant can also be accessed at the Rottenegg sports field.
From the Walding sports park, the Rodltalrunde passes the Walding animal park towards the Mursberg until a short single trail leads down to the Saurüsselbach and over the Oberstraßer ridge to the idyllic Eschelbach, where you meet the connection to the Granitlandrunde or Hansbergland-Südrunde. Further along the route, the beautiful onion dome of the St. Gotthard church soon comes into view. From the valley of the Kleine Rodl, the route climbs up to Limberg, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Danube valley and the Alps before descending in switchbacks to the Große Rodl, where you can easily ride the bike down to Rottenegg. But still in the village, the route climbs to the next viewpoint at Jörgensbühl and finally follows along the Brandstätterbach back to the Walding sports park.
The E1 variant leads from the parking lot on Rottenegger Sports Field Street via the old stone-paved trade route, the Krumau Imperial Road, onto the Oberstraßer ridge, where it merges with the Rodltalrunde E. If this is finished in Rottenegg, you return to the starting point of the E1 variant.
