The circular route first runs along the Ager river through the Agerufer forest, later via side roads over the Römerberg to the Philippsberg. From up there, you can enjoy a marvellous panoramic view on fine days. Then it's back down towards the town and back to the starting point.
The circular route starts at the car park of the ball sports hall/football pitch. The tarmac access road runs between the tennis hall and the football pitch. The circular route begins behind the tennis court on the gravelled path. As soon as you come to the Agerufer Weg, turn left - downstream. Walk along the Agerufer Weg until you reach the dog school, where you leave the path and walk across the car park to the road. Pass the sewage treatment plant and you will come to the B1 bypass road. You now have to cross this road and take the road to Staig opposite. Now turn left and immediately right again (before the bridge) up the road. You will pass farmhouses and the Parzmair distillery. At the top, cross the road and continue up the hill on the side road. Keep to the right. At the next wider road, keep left and just before the Römerberg, turn right towards Schlatt. At the next road, turn left towards Philippsberg. Walk along this side road between fields to the Philippsberg church. Take a short break and enjoy the marvellous view on a fine day. On Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, the only movable Lenten nativity scene in Austria is in operation in the church. Please get in touch for more information.
