On this cycle tour, bikers follow in the footsteps of natural hops. One of the highlights of this route is the brewery in Zipf. The brewery invites you on a guided tour and afterwards you can enjoy a tasty snack and a cool blonde beer in the brewery restaurant. Natural hops are the special ingredient that makes Zipfer so typical. This refers to hop cones that are simply dried after harvesting and flavour the beer as nature created them. In the past, all beers were brewed in this way. Today, it is a rarity that you have to look for.
Beer has been brewed in Zipf since 1858 - get to know the beer tradition on a guided tour including a tasting, or get on your bike first - the Naturhopfen-Runde invites you to do so and leads along the 256 markings to Neukirchen an der Vöckla (Stehrerhof open-air museum) to Puchkirchen am Trattberg, which is reached via a steep ramp. The Power Tower (short detour) offers a viewing platform and climbing fun, the "s'Gschäftl" regional shopping centre. Follow trail 254 southwards to Timelkam and the Römerweg R6. From there, continue as on route 1 (Große Hausruckwaldrunde) to Gampern (Flügelaltar) and Vöcklamarkt with its parish church worth seeing (Vöckladom), where route 253 leads back to the starting point with a refreshment stop at the Braugasthof.
Due to the moderate differences in altitude, the route is suitable for both e-bikers and touring bikers without a motor.
Highlights: Zipf brewery, Stehrerhof open-air museum, Puchkirchen power tower, Gampern winged altar
