Altmünster municipal office - Altmünster railway station - Lagerhaus - Hasenau - Viechtau - Hintenaus - Kollmannsberg - Almgasthof Windlegern
10 km (total distance 24 km, outward journey 10 km, return journey 14 km)

Elevation gain: 438 m

From Altmünster town hall, we cycle up Marktstraße and turn left and then immediately right again towards Altmünster railway station. We continue straight on to Hasenau, a district of Altmünster. We follow the Großalmstraße on which we find ourselves, pass the agricultural warehouse and have the first ascent of 2 kilometres ahead of us. After a short descent, we turn left towards Viechtau and follow the signs for the tennis centre. At the next opportunity, we turn left onto Güterweg Kößlleitn and Hofweg and continue to Buchbergstraße. There we turn right and see the Hintenaus inn ahead of us on the left-hand side, where we turn left in front of the building and then immediately left again into Kollmannsberg. We follow the road until we reach property no. 22, where the ascent to Kollmannsberg begins. We follow the road and reach our destination after 4 km thanks to good signposting to Almgasthof Windlegern .

We take the same route back down the Kollmannsberg as far as the property Hs. no. 22, where we continue straight on down the Hessenberg to the SEMA Maschinenbau company. At the company car park, we turn left into Mühlbach and continue to Buchbergstraße. There we keep right in the direction of Traunkirchen, cycle via Mitterndorf and the Waldcampus Österreich and soon reach Traunkirchen railway station. After the station, we keep left, cross under the railway line and reach the B145 after a few metres. The cycle path next to the B145 takes us directly back to Altmünster. If you feel like stopping for a break, you can do so at the Spitzvilla or at the Bräuwiese (bathing area with a nice kiosk and garden).

Shortly after entering Altmünster, you come to the Trawöger-Dorfner fish fry, which also invites you to take a well-earned rest after a long tour.
Then it is best to continue to the beginning of the Esplanade in Altmünster and cycle through the subway to Altmünster. This is the safest way to cross over or under the often congested main road. After a short uphill stretch, we reach our starting point again at Altmünster town hall.
