Bike & Hike Zellerhütte from Schafferteich

Follow the road in the direction of Vorderstoder (R311) by bike and branch off shortly after the end of the town turn right to the Schafferteich. If you'd rather avoid the street, go for it and
take your bike comfortably in the gondola to the middle station (1,380 m) and cycle from there downhill (MTB3) over the Steyrsbergerreith to the Schafferteich.

BIKE: From the large cable car parking lot in Hinterstoder, turn left and drive onto the R311 to Vorderstoder. Shortly after leaving the town, turn right and drive up to the Schafferteich changing point.
As an alternative, you can also conveniently take your bike with you on the gondola and have it transport you up. Then you drive via the Edtbauernalm down the MTB3 into the Rottal and further down to the Schafferteich changing point.
For the first variant you have to add approx. 7.7km, 287hm and 50 minutes to the given route data.

HIKE: From the changing point, continue to the Binder farmstead. The path climbs mostly through a high forest to the valley station of the Zellerhütte material cable car. Next moderately steep at first, then many steep switchbacks uphill with some wonderful views of the Prielgruppe to the Zellerhütte (overnight stay option). From one terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Windischgarstnertal and Sengsengebirge, from the new terrace the view sweeps over the entire Priel massif. Return the same way or you can continue hiking to the Warscheneck (2.5 hours), the Lagelsberg (1 hour), to the Dümlerhütte (5 hours) or to the Linzerhaus/Wurzeralm (4.5 hours).
