Brigitte Schwaiger Literature Trail - large loop

The Brigitte Schwaiger Literature Trail is dedicated to the work of Freistadt's best-known daughter. At twelve stations, Schwaiger's extensive work is made visible and audible in exciting excerpts. The Leader-funded project leads to the most beautiful places in the old town, up to the Russian cemetery and to a new Brigitte Schwaiger viewing platform.

Brigitte Schwaiger (1949-2010), a native of Freistadt, is considered one of the most important literary figures of the 1970/80s in the German-speaking world. To make the significance of her work visible, the Brigitte Schwaiger Society, with the support of the municipality and numerous sponsors, has established a literature trail in Freistadt.
