The Traun flows through the Salzkammergut, a rural cultural region that will be the European Capital of Culture in 2024. It is used to cross municipal and national borders. In water pilgrimages, borders are overcome: external geographical and political borders, but also internal borders. Inspired by flowing water that finds its own path, life can find ways towards a more human coexistence.
The fourth and final stage goes from Obertraun to Bad Aussee.

From the church in Obertraun you go past the Koppental refuge to Sarstein and via Untere Öfner to Bad Aussee, where you can visit the Protestant parish church and the Hugo-Cordignano-Promenade chapel.
Starting point: Obertraun
