A challenging circular trail over the Leopoldschläger Berg, up to the highest point of Leopoldschlag, the summit cross (879 m), past imposing granite formations, endless anthills and beautiful viewpoints with views of the neighbouring Czech Republic;
The hike leads across the beautifully designed market square along the Way of the Cross, past 2 game enclosures to the forest cross, where a beautifully designed power place with flowing drinking water from the springs of the Leopoldschläger water co-operative invites you to rest. We then follow the forest road to the Martinstein. The Martinstein is a rock formation made of Weinsberg granite and a natural monument. After a 3-minute walk, we turn left on the forest road and begin the ascent to the summit cross. A beautiful isosceles cross made of stainless steel and clay balls, which symbolises the Hafner community of Leopoldschlag, awaits us at the summit. At the highest point of Leopoldschlag, you can take a break and make a note in the summit book. The spot is framed by a rock formation to the south and east of the summit. After the rest, we hike downhill towards the village of Pramhöf to the "Koller Felsen" (also known as "Teufelsstein"). We follow this and enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Leopoldschlag and the Czech Republic. Passing the "Lias am Berg" holiday farm, we descend to Markt Leopoldschlag, past the Hafnerhaus and back to the starting point. The circular route is signposted in both directions. Two inns invite you to stop off at the market square.Please get in touch for more information.
