On this trail, you will get to know the location of the village and the castle. The starting point is the war memorial in the centre of the village.
From the war memorial, you walk between the two snails into the castle park, in which there are centuries-old trees. The path now meanders down to the Visnitz, which you follow downhill to the Stöcklgraben goods road.
We now head east, under the castle grounds on the Stöcklgraben goods road for approx. 200 metres until we reach a transformer. The path now goes up the castle slope to Hagenberg.
You reach the village at the church square. The baroque chapel and the well-run inns invite you to stop for refreshments and linger. You can now rest at the centre of this hike. This trail leads halfway along the same route as trail no. 49.
