Round trip to a wonderful viewing tower.
We set off uphill, walking past the Gothic church with its world-famous winged altar right at the start and soon reach the end of the village. Here we pass the next impressive sight, Weinberg Castle. The route continues uphill away from the road, mostly through woodland, until after some effort we reach the Buchberg with its small rest stop and fantastic viewing tower. The weather here is marvellous with wonderful views. There is also a mysterious "bear's cave" for the little hikers to discover. But now we continue, soon going downhill, past a farmhouse, we cross a farm track and turn left. Passing fields and woods, we reach the small village of Elz. At the other end of the village, we leave the road again to the left and continue almost steadily downhill to Kefermarkt. Please get in touch for more information.
