"Fruit tree blossom over Wels Heath and Eferding Basin"
The Schartner Cherry Blossom Trail is the most popular hiking trail in the Obst-Hügel-Land Nature Park. On the 11.3 km circular trail, you can enjoy marvellous views as far as the Alpine foothills in the south and the Mühlviertel in the north. In spring, the numerous cherry, apple and pear trees along the trail blossom - a unique natural spectacle. During your hike, you will pass numerous fruit growers where you can buy Nature Park specialities from the farm. The Schartner cherries in particular have already earned an excellent reputation. But apricots, apples and pears also develop their full flavour in the climatically favoured Obst-Hügel-Land. You can enjoy regional musts, fruit juices and a snack at one of the cider taverns. During the hike, you will also pass an educational bee trail. Here you will learn about the enormous importance of bees for fruit growing. Please get in touch for more information.
