Christkindlmarkt Perg: Three days of indulgence
From Friday, 6 to Sunday, 8 December, the parish hall and the square around the parish church in Perg are all about art, culture and indulgence. Artisans and traders will be presenting their products at the 46th Perg Christmas Market. To delight the palate, the innkeepers cook and roast and the Perger confectioners bake.
Many of the exhibitors at the Perger Christkindlmarkt are already well known to regular visitors. That's why many of them are looking forward to exhibiting in Perg again. Around 20 artisans present their wares in the parish centre. Wood, metal, fabrics, clay or stones: These are the basic materials for the individually crafted unique pieces that can be purchased on site. In the outdoor area, there are toys, products made from wool and delicacies. The Christmas tree trader from Dimbach will also be there again.
The Christkindlmarkt Perg offers an atmospheric mix of musicMusic frames the market events in the outdoor area and in the parish centre. In addition to wind ensembles and bands from the region, choirs will also be part of the programme.
We are delighted that several ensembles from the Landesmusikschule will be taking part on Saturday. In the evening, Martin Mörwald, Ewald Palmetshofer and friends will once again musically interpret the Christmas story with the group "Glühwein&Kletzenbrot". On Sunday afternoon, brass ensembles will once again play on the stage in the outdoor area.
Perger moments of pleasure
The Advent delicacies from the Perger innkeepers can be enjoyed from midday on all three days of the market. The Amstler butcher's shop is known for its outstandingly good preparation of bratwurst sausages, which are available with sauerkraut or as bosna. In the "Jäger-Hütte", Josef and Anni Seyr serve game specialities such as venison ragout, venison cheese krainer or venison pancakes, while Fritz Strondl prepares fire-roasted patties in various flavours for visitors, as well as potato wedges and, of course, French fries. Visitors warm up from the inside with hot drinks such as mulled cider and punch variations around the market stalls.
The sweet temptations
The pastries and warm farmer's doughnuts from Konditorei Stöger sweeten the stay. Baker Pani also prepares his sweet offer: Fruit bread, Perger kisses, biscuits and punch doughnuts - and as always at the Christmas market, there are also giant salt sticks. The beekeepers' association offers honey-poppyseed noodles and Powidl-Pofesen and serves the popular mead punch. Pastry chef Kern offers his sweet Advent range in the parish hall. He also sells handicrafts from the Ore Mountains and tea gift sets.
