Spring concert by the Obertraun local musicians

The Obertraun local band will be holding its annual spring concert on Saturday, 26 April at the Federal Sports and Leisure Centre, where the young musicians' ensemble will also be performing.

Bandmaster Josef Pühringer and his deputy Michaela Eggenreiter put together a colourful, musical spring bouquet for the musical highlight of the "musical year".
The first part of the concert was dominated by traditional brass band music.
Of course, marches, waltzes, polkas and overtures were not to be missed. The refreshingly brisk "Archivist Polka" by Markus NImmervoll and the waltz "Wiener Praterleben" by Siegfried Translateur deserve a special mention.
The 2nd part opens with the second march.
The second part opens with two pieces by the OMK Youth Ensemble, which has been rehearsing together once a week since the beginning of the year under the direction of Michaela Eggenreiter and Katharina Perstl.
The rest of the concert evening consists of modern brass music.
Highlights will be brass music arrangements by British soul singer Adele and catchy tunes from the 60s and 80s.
