If you hear happy sounds in the early morning of your stay in Hallstatt, that can only mean one thing: The local brass band is on the road and wakes you up musically that day.
Early in the morning
The local brass brand marches through the World Heritage Site of Hallstatt and traditionally wakes the residents in the early morning on Easter Sunday and on the 1st of May.
On these days, the musicians of the local brass band get up very early, put on their festive uniforms and roam Hallstatt with their instruments.
Music with tradition
The local brass band belongs to Hallstatt like the numerous sights and is one of the oldest brass bands in the whole Salzkammergut. The repertoire ranges from traditional marches to current pop music. Come and enjoy the early morning sounds!
